I know it looks like any other SG but… if you are an SG expert… you’ll know that this is a somewhat desirable model

The 2013 SG sees Gibson moving away from the 61 reissue nomenclature and converting the SG Standard to essentially a 61 reissue. Small guard and 57 classics pickups… but the best thing.. the headstock has a regular size.

I’ve had two 61 Reissues with big headstocks and 57s. They do look great and the 57s are a great set of pickups! But… they didn’t come in ebony/black colour.

Of course this model is desirable because it looks like Angus’ main SG. Which is like a 65 or 67

Like most of my SGs, I changes the bridge pickup to be a custom bucker and faber bridge and tailpiece. I like the look of Nickel better than chrome.
